The Children and Complex Care Services team specialises in providing supports to children with low to high care needs as well as supporting complex care requirements with children (ranging from 0-18 years old.)

  • Seizure management
  • Epilepsy
  • Personal care (Nappy changes, bathing, baby and young children care such as toileting needs)
  • Daily activities
  • Incontinence
  • Airway management
  • Manual handling
  • Suctioning
  • Tube feeding (Trache tube, oral, nasal, PEG, PEJ, nasogastric)
  • Basic life support
  • Respiratory assessment and management
  • Tracheostomy tube care
  • Oximetry monitoring
  • Oxygen
  • Mechanical ventilation (BIPAP, CPAP, LTV)
  • Cough assist
  • Chest physio
  • Skin care (Bleach baths, skin lotions for those with rare skin conditions)
  • Total parental nutrition (TPN)
  • Repositioning
  • Maintaining and managing children who are palliative
  • More low care community access such as after school activities and accessing the community such as movies, parks, play centres, sporting groups, travel training etc
